Maybe the Middle Eastern people are not fashionable enough, or NYT just thinks that Muslim women, being in a Muslim setting, must all wear hijabs.  Soon after, I met an art student at a party. Barely out of her teens, she was all red lipstick and cheekbones, her white-blond hair up in a 1950s beehive. She and her friends are the future of the London cultural scene. Despite the continuing gloom, she smiled and drank away. She wore a Barbour jacket. I can tell you that, no protester would ever go out in a Barbour jacket, because it might get ruined. F*CK LONDON
