Rebekah Brooks' Husband 'accidentally' throws out a computer, papers, & other pertinent stuff surrounding the News of the World scandal. Guards then find it in a garbage bin, then Brooks' husband actually goes to detectives to claim it. Needless to say, they said, "no." → dailykos.com

It all started when the Obama presidential campaign released a video of Obama asking supporters to get involved in his reelection campaign and enter a contest to win dinner with him and the Vice President. Some Republicans raised questions about the ad being filmed in the White House.

What is the president supposed to do? Specifically leave the White House so he can film an ad.

“crime for the President of the United States to solicit political contributions in a place of official government business.” Says Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee.

Obama lives there, he works there, he eats there, he sleeps there.

This, this, this is what the CHAIRMAN of the Republican nat. co. has a problem with.

Priebus instead of wasting countless time and energy on stuff that doesn’t even matter, why doesn’t he focus his time and opinions on the national default of our country.

But ads filmed in the White House residence are perfectly legal, according to a 1979 opinion by the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel.

Ok, ok, but now Priebus says, “no, it looks like the map room.”

Guess what, the MAP room is considered part of the residency.

Fickle, fickle.

News of the World phone hacking whistleblower found dead → guardian.co.uk

futurejournalismproject:

Via the Guardian:

Sean Hoare, the former News of the World showbiz reporter who was the first named journalist to allege Andy Coulson was aware of phone hacking by his staff, has been found dead, the Guardian has learned.

Hoare, who worked on the Sun and the News of the World with Coulson before being dismissed for drink and drugs problems, is said to have been found dead at his Watford home.

Hertfordshire police would not confirm his identity, but the force said in a statement: “At 10.40am today [Monday 18 July] police were called to Langley Road, Watford, following the concerns for welfare of a man who lives at an address on the street. Upon police and ambulance arrival at a property, the body of a man was found. The man was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but not thought to be suspicious. Police investigations into this incident are ongoing.”

“Anthony was released from jail wearing a pink Ralph Lauren T-shirt, jeans and blue trainers with her hair tied back in a neat bun.” —Just in case you wanted to know what Casey Anthony was wearing. This comes from a story describing her leaving the jail after being acquitted of murder. One of the tags for the story was labeled as celeb. Is Casey Anthony the fool, or the millions of people who are mesmerized by the case.

“Head of Brazil’s Environmental Protection Agency Says It Is Not His Job to Protect the Environment” —

Wait, so your telling me another public official doesn’t know what his job means or entails.

He also see’s indigenous peoples as being hurtful to “progressive projects” such as The cutting down and mutilation of more than 120,000 acres of rainforest.

Wait, is this also like how the republicans keep saying that the poor are a detriment to society and just give tax cuts to the wealthy? And they confuse their jobs as being servants to the people when all they are, are corporate bitches? Wow, no one knows what their jobs are anymore, GLOBALLY. At least we are all in it together.
